The McCarthy Educational Chat Show has been presented by Craig Laffin for almost three years.

The show is a community contribution by McCarthy Catholic College, a diocesan high school of 800 students at Emu Plains. The show broadcasts each Monday 6-7pm and showcases guests in a chat format. Guests come from a broad spectrum but with a focus on the Nepean, Lower Blue Mountains and Western Sydney. Guests include teachers and students from McCarthy but also from other catholic, state and independent schools, primary and secondary, Western Sydney University, educational authorities, community organisations, sport and business.

“It has been a privilege meeting and chatting with so many exceptional individuals”, said Craig, a Humanities teacher, of over forty years experience. “From bubbly Years 5 and Six students, through teenage girls shaving their heads to raise money for cancer research, other teenagers achieving national and state sporting recognition, dedicated innovative teachers and leaders, outstanding university researchers and educationalists, renowned sport coaches, commerce contributors and wonderful and committed organisers and leaders of Nepean and Blue Mountains community organisations”.
