I am a Sydney boy - born and raised. Spending the first 20 years of my life in West Ryde. I grew up in the 50's and so experienced the excitement of being there when the greatest music of the century was being released. I enjoyed those years and developed a love for the music of the time. Like youths of my day I worked many jobs. In the 60's you could leave a job in the morning and have another that afternoon, unlike today jobs were plentiful. I worked in retail - real estate - radio and finally got into the travel industry.Working for 'Air NSW', 'Ansett Airlines' and finally 'Qantas Airways', before branching out into retail travel. Being involved in the travel industry from the 1970's onward, I was privledged to be able to travel extensively.
In the 1960's (my teenage years) I worked in radio as an announcer both in the country and did some radio in Sydney. But at that time I met the girl who was to become my wife, I decided to give radio away and then joined the airlines, but radio has always been my first love. I had always hoped to return to the microphone and have been fortunate to have that opportunity here at Wow-fm.
I play the music mainly from the 1940's, 50's, 60's 70's and some easy listening music through to and including today.
If you enjoy the sounds of the big bands, the crooners of the 50's, Rock'n'Roll, I invite you to join me on Saturdays from 2.00pm through to 5.00pm for my program 'Reminiscing'.
